From January 13 through January 19 the documentary feature film There’s a Future in the Past will be playing in New York City at the Cinema Village. Paul Kozel, SAC director recorded and mixed most of the music for the film at various venues in the Northeast, did the dialog editing, and mixed the audio for the film. The movie is a documentary on Vince Giordano a band leader and conservator of “Hot Jazz”, music from the 1920s and 30s. If you’ve ever watched “Boardwalk Empire”, “The Aviator”, “Revolutionary Road”, and many Woody Allen films including his latest Cafe Society, you’ve heard Vince and his bandmates, the “Nighthawks”, providing the music. The film is distributed in North America by First Run Features. After it’s run in New York the film moves out west to Portland, OR, Los Angeles, CA, San Diego, CA, and Scottsdale, AR.
