The 2016 Edition of DOC NYC, the largest and most influential documentary film festival in the U.S., is presently underway at the IFC Center in Greenwich Village. On Wednesday, November 16 the festival will screen “Feral Love”, a documentary about Dorian Rence, a violist with the New York Philharmonic. The score for “Feral Love” was recorded at the Sonic Arts Center with members of the New York Philharmonic string section. The section included Acting Principal violinist Lisa Kim, Associate Principal violist Rebecca Young, and Associate Principal cellist Eileen Moon. SAC director Paul Kozel served as music producer as well as recording and mixing engineer for the project. Assisting Paul on the session was SAC alumni Ian Reilly, a Production Assistant with the New York Philharmonic!
