Recent graduate Ken Candelas was one of the audio engineers for the 2017 edition of the Newport Folk Festival. As a member of the Aura Sonic Ltd team, Ken worked the Harbor stage during the event that was simulcast and recorded for National Public Radio and its affiliates. Ken worked with numerous artists during the festival including Billy Brag, Joe Henry, Regina Spektor, and Suzanne Vega. Since graduation Ken has been a very busy engineer working with AVS Production Group, Good Morning America, and Event Systems with a diverse set of acts including Lady Gaga, Wyclef Jean, will.i.am, Kaleo, James Arthur, Sarah Silverman, Edward Norton, Mark Ruffalo, and Carlos Santana. In addition to his work as an engineer, Ken is also the drum technician for Saturday Night Live’s Shawn Pelton and has been touring with his band “The Cringe”.
