Student/Alumni Profiles

Hekiro Matsuoka, a native of Japan, is completing his final semester while working as a post production engineer for Thomas Lino Sound. His work at Thomas Lino Sound includes sound mixing, sound design, dialog replacement, and audio editing for film and television projects. Hekiro is also a free-lance composer for film and television and an is an accomplished guitarist specializing in jazz, world, and experimental music. Pat Noth was accepted into the music and audio technology program in 2002 coming to us from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He is now working professionally as a producer, composer, songwriter, engineer, and sound designer. Ben Trokan is a 2002 graduate of our program and is presently the lead singer, guitarist, pianist, and song writer with the band Robbers on High Street. Robbers can be found on New Line Records. The band's first full length album Trees was released in September of 2005. Rolling Stone magazine called the album " .... a smart rock debut .... that churns out swaggering city-centric ballads bolstered by wry, whip-smart lyrics and piano-driven melodies." The album was produced and recorded by Peter Katis at Tarquin Studios, the same facility and producer for the Interpol record Antics. Music by Robbers on High Street can be found in the movies Wedding Crashers and Just Friends.

Roy Coopervasser, a native of Israel, is currently finishing work on his degree here at the Center. Roy has been busy working professionally as a free-lance composer/engineer/sound designer. Recently Roy and fellow student Petr Verner have joined forces to create a Production Company called Kazumi Labs.
