On April 24, the 2016 Tribeca Film Festival will feature the world premiere of Almost Paris a film by the director Domenica Cameron-Scorsese, daughter of Martin Scorsese. The score for Almost Paris was composed, recorded, and mixed at the Sonic Arts Center by third year student Jasmin Klinger. Congratulations to Jasmin for this major professional accomplishment.
On Sunday March 6, the Hudson West Productions movie There’s a Future in the Past won Best Music/Score at the Manchester Film Festival. Co-directors Dave Davidson (director of the BFA Film & Video program here at City College) and Amber Edwards accepted the award on behalf of Vince Giordano and the Nighthawks, the subject of the film. SAC director Paul Kozel recorded many of the performances in the film and mixed all of the music for the film. Congratulations to Dave, Amber, Vince, and Paul for this award.
