Joe Popp Guides Rock Recording at Bread and Roses

Technical Director and Rock Ensemble Adjunct Instructor Joe Popp was out in the community once again, this time working with students at the Bread and Roses Integrated Arts High School. Utilizing an Apple iMac and GarageBand audio recording software, Joe and the students composed, arranged, and recorded, an original rock song. Director Farai Malianga said, “It was great for the guys to work with a real rock musician. They loved the experience and the track sounded good!”

Technical Director Joe Popp Speaks at PS 241 STEM

Technical Director, Joe Popp, was invited to be a Local Hero as part of the Making a Difference, arts and community-learning program at PS 241 STEM (SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING, MATH) Institute of Manhattan in Harlem. He spoke to the students about production techniques and future careers in digital audio. The students are currently learning about digital audio recording from their instructor Farai Malianga.
